It should be obvious to one and all that our business leaders are simply without ethics. They do not care about right and wrong. They are even willing to break the law if they believe the risk of prosecution is low. Their social contract is with themselves and the politicians they can buy. The only interests they respect are their own. The public be damned.

They mumble about the free market and its importance because their behavior would be considered sociopathic in any other context. An unregulated free market is an ugly thing. The Golden Rule is transformed into "those with the gold make the rules". They buy favors from regulators and politicians, hire the lobbyists (who write most of today's legislation), and retain large legal staffs to keep them out of prison.

We apparently tolerate this free market rationale. Too bad. Absent rules, competitive advantage lies with those who cheat. We are all victims of this and will remain victims so long as business leaders like Jamie Dimon are allowed to publicly and on the record mislead us.

If we do nothing about this, we deserve to be victims.

the government is still doing nothing to prevent this from starting all over again. apparently they are not willing to make the changes to protect us Americans (the little guys), so we should insist on charges being brought against those that accepted bailouts. all of the fat cats that were running those companies should be held accountable, so when we go the polls make your selections carefully find out who will stand up against the fat cats. find out who is voting for the corporations and who is for the people, it is public information so you can find out if you care to, it's your choice.

I am an 88 year Welsh Republican and was a Bomber Aviator in WW2.What is happening in USA and now throughout the world i not "the land fit for heroes" thsat many of many of my colleagues died for and of those still living, many are disabled or in poor health. This is not what I risked my life for- for my children and grandchildren to inherit. The USA may be a republic but it is not a democracy. Whilst maintaining 1000 military establishments throughout the world to create a new USA Empire, it is no longer true that anyone can become President of USA - one has to be exceedingly rich or obtain massive donations. USA and other nations must be handed back to the people in the form of mutuals and co-operatives and people elected to serve the nation on ability and dedication , not wealth. Best regards from UK - bring your movement here and throughout the advanced nations of the world.

Breaking up the banks is essential, Another essential element almost everyone understands by now is that we need to "get the money out of politics". Our Democracy has become threatened by corporate and lobbyist undue influence on elections and politicians. The only way to restore a true democracy is to have our political leaders free from the influence of money to support their campaigns.
Last week 60 minutes interviewed the now recalcitrant Jack Abramoff. His solution is to not allow lobbyists to come
from ex-Congressmen or staffers. That is only a piecemeal reform.
It is time for PUBLIC FINANCING of elections, without loopholes. So I created a petition which says:
"I support the public financing of all elections.
No more corporate, lobbyist or private funds to be used
for campaigns to elect or reelect our public servants."

Please sign this petition by going to:
PublicFinancingNow.com Click on the http to access the petition.
Signing petitions does work, even if only to get your voice heard.
            Thanks,
