I’m interest in a new way forward. If we’re to find that new way. One I’m not sure is even thought of yet. I think the whole structure will collapse under it’s own weight and there will be a time of rethinking on the question of how we treat and interact with each other. My question is where do you look to find the plan to survive this time? What will be needed on the community levels. I’m just reasonably sure this system is doomed. Just a quick look at the natural world and how it sustains itself, and then compare it to how our economic system is set up, really tells the story. The natural world takes just what it needs, and gives something back the it’s host. Our system just takes and takes……

  2. Hello,

We have a speaker coming to Silicon Valley we thought might be of interest to your members. Would it be possible to share the information?

    Regards,

  3. Ladies and gentlemen,
We need honest and accurate Media coverage, do we not?
How about a 20 million citizen march on washington D.C. Yeah, Yeah, I know it’s a lot of work, but if we make 20 million citizens our goal and only 5% of these show up, BINGO!!!!! it’s still 1 million citizens.
Giving money is a good thing, however personal hands on envolvement/personal participation is something that almost anyone can do.
First and foremost we need to organize committies to conduct a series of brainstorming sessions to find ways to conquer the various logistical hurdles involved in such an undertaking.
We must consider basic needs such as food & water distribution, sanitation proceedures, transprotatiion & shelter( for example: tents, campers, B&Bs etc…).
The word Democracy is a combination of two Greek words Demos and Cratsia with demos meaning the “Masses” and Cratsia meaning “Rule”. We the people (the Masses) have, in the past, defered our responsibility to act onto just a tiny few politicians. Now that we are in the “Communication & Information Age” we can and should be able to organize a Voters March on Washington, D.C.
One point to take into consideration is that, with an election year just around the corner, political heads are on the chopping block. If we do this, We are going to be hard to ignore.

Here’s an odd thought! With Media Mogol Rupert Murdoc in need of all the good copy he can garnner, wouldn’t it be cool if he could be convinced to grant us full coverage of the”Voter’s March!”
Delusional? Mabey, but then again Mabey Not!
We can’t really know, for sure, until after we’ve tried.
I’m willing to try. So how about some support through action.
Failure to act is the underlying reason we as American Citizens are in ths mess in the first place.
Let’s join together and DO THIS!
I don’t have a staff or much in the way of disposible funds but I do have pretty good Brain Storming skills, but I do have a little time to spare.
    Sincerely,
    Joseph A. Juarez,III

  4. As a foot note to my previous post about organizing a 20 million Citizen’s/Voter’s March on Washington, D.C., remember Talk is cheap! almost any body can verbaly communicate in Generalities.
But, action does speak louder than words!

Jeff Sachs ! Please no! We need reformers here, not people promoting what Sachs does…. big studies, big government, waste or taxpayer assets.
